Day 37 - Tucson - the day before departure

Always amazing how the right light can elevate something so common.

It's a lonely job - but I'm happily getting it done.

I call these guys the Three Amigos - they figure prominently in many sunstreak pictures.

A couple of cameras are trying to capture the entirety of the sun crossing the sky, from sunrise to sunset. I don't think I've got quite enough wide angle to do it.

I just realized you can't even see our house from the bottom of the driveway.

There's enough loopholes in this regulation to make this sign completely pointless, a waste of money and an eyesore to boot. I guess that's what governments do.

Today's (dead) critter of the day. It's about four feet long, and not a rattlesnake.

On our last walk around the neighborhood, we went up the "no outlet" road, knowing full well what is usually at the end of "no outlet" roads. Yup. A secret Department of Agriculture research station, working on growing what appears to be nuclear-tipped cactus. From their orientation, I'd say these are pointed squarely at Arkansas. We are not clear why the Dept of Ag wants to nuke Arkansas.
