Roadtrip 2014: Vancouver - Yakima - Boise - Provo - Flagstaff - Tucson - Palm Springs - Paso Robles - Sacramento - Eureka - Bandon - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 42 - Port San Luis, Shell Beach, Pismo Beach

Timelessness continues in Paso Robles.

The new Experimental Car-Yacht. Easily converts from marine to land travel. It's a little klunky now, but so were the first computers.

The fish-cleaning station has an eager peanut gallery.

Today's catch.

Patiently waiting for a wee morsel.

The most aggressive fight you'll ever see over a few leftovers.

Below the hatch are sea-lions.

The restaurant at the end of Pier San Luis - now closed for a major renovation. Will need to check back.

The calm part of San Luis Pier.

Wendy's new hat has a stylish wheelchair insignia sticking out of the hat-band.

Welcome to Shell Beach.

Emma signs up for surfing lessons. This part looks like the most fun.

Emma can't believe she's come all the way to the famous Pismo Beach but can't play ball because of a stupid leash law.

Walkers and vehicles mingle at Pismo.

Welcome to Pismo Beach. Vehicles must pay the piper first.
