Day 19 - Flagstaff

We head up the Big Hill to Flagstaff and are greeted by the first snows of winter.

For some reason, Flagstaff in general, and Macy's European Coffeehouse in particular have become a regular crossroad for our annual trip.

I'm waiting for the first big snow of the year, but meantime, did someone say there's a zombie festival in town?

Almost everything goes in Flagstaff - does this count as a photo pilic for Wendy?

Coffee roasters are springing up like mushrooms here - we only discovered Late for the Train last year, and there are at least two more new ones for us to try.

So we picked the Saturday of NAU's Homecoming craziness to visit. The bars open at 6am for homecoming. By noon, the zombies start to flop out of the bars with the munchies. Apparently, feeding them only habitualizes them to homecoming weekend, and they return every year, expecting more. Attempts to relocate them to Texas have failed. It is feared a cull may be necessary.
