Day 7 - Ona Beach

The cameras filming sunstreaks are outside today - the winds have finally dialed down to "stun". The plastic wrapping keeps out the salt spray, leaving just a lens barrel and a protective filter to face the elements.

NOAA's Black Hull stealthily leaves port.

All washed up.

Today's game of Chase the Sheltie.

It is believed this is the original recipe, left by an ancient alien race, for making hamburgers. The text is cleverly embedded in the all-petrified-meat pattie.

The locals like to come to Ona beach to practice surrendering to the Russians. It's lots of fun in town to talk with a fake Russian accent.

The locals come out on Sundays for some ridiculously serious fun.

A stellar map, made by the Ona Beach Horseshoe Crab population, shows the location of the galaxy they are headed for. Their work here is done.

It's hard to believe that flotsam is still washing up after the 2011 Japan Tsunami, but here it is.

The float or fender was made by Oyama Blow Ind Co Ltd.

That deck is precariously close to the cliff edge.

This entire house is beyond precariously close. The cliff has won.

As far as we can ascertain - Restaurant Beck remains on solid ground - and has become a culinary fixture on our Oregon travel itinerary.
