Day 25 - Port Orford Heads and Port

Wendy and Emma found this friendly little snake in the front yard this morning.

Wind day! It's been blowing 60+ km/h all day, and it's hard work just staying on the trail.

Of course, the waves are nuts. The sea foam is blowing hundreds of feet up the cliffs.

That's a crazy slippery edge there.

Out of the wind, in the trees.

This is actually the leeward side of the port.

"Unattened". Roger that.

The Port Orford fleet - all safely ashore.

It was the little Port of Orford ....... they lived right by the sea .......

There's no actual moorage in this crazy port. All the boats are pulled out and on shore.

Land yacht.

Gulls ashore.

Racing land yacht.

There is a crane for everything.

In the distance, the locally famous Red Fish Rocks weather the weather.

Everything you need at a port.

Don't even ask about the Unsafe Ladder.
