Roadtrip 2016 Spring: Vancouver - Seaside - Yachats - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 13 - Baker Beach, our last evening in the beach house

Russ and Emma ponder the meaning of 'dem picture takin' devices - but have no answers.

These skid marks were left by a UFO seen by thousands last night. The greys walked into town, calmly ordered some cooked crab from the Luna Sea, paid cash, and took off.

The Mystery Flotsam of the Day.

The Other Mystery.

Baker Beach is world-famous for UFO sightings. It is thought the strange magnetic flows of goopy sand attracts alien starships.

This is the World-Famous Newspaper Sandstone, so named for its uncanny resemblance to the June 18, 1892 late edition of the Denver Rocky Mountain News.

Emma Sherpa Brown Sock receives the age-old ritual of the summit snack.

Birds go by.

So just how stable is a stabilized sand dune?

Last night's UFO partly buried its snout in this dune, while trying to parallel park, leaving behind this imprint of its manufacturer's badge.

Emma Sherpa Brown Sock waits patiently in the base camp valley.

I'd say it's a romantic afternoon tea for two - but of course it is coffee.

If there is one place you must source when travelling through Yachats - it is the Bread and Roses Bakery. This is some of their handywork - and it is supremely delicious. Yes we've eaten far too much of it the past 12 days.

The final sunset relax at this incredible place.

Our local fishing fleet heads to port with our dinner.

Double your sun.
