Roadtrip 2017 Fall: Vancouver - Seaside - Bandon - Calistoga - Sedona - Sacramento - Seaside - Vancouver

Day 43 - Slide Rock

Emma suspects the historical section is yet another cover for covert mind-control research projects. This tractor is clean. Too clean.

This little one is clearly still too young and has a mind of his own.

We have no idea what these minds are up to.

They gaze blankly into the unnaturally black waters. They have no sensation of the loss of time.

The inevitable photogtraphing has begun. This is clearly not a phenomenon known only to Oregon beaches.

Emma has never had a sensation of loss of time.

The peeps wander over the slidy rocks.

I don't get how the research lab does this, but everyone down there is walking exactly the same route at exactly the same speed. They even take exactly the same pictures.

As do we.

Everyone performs a full body-roll on this spot. Really.

Various stages of post body roll recovery.

We think this is the remote-lander prototype for the mind-control experiment going on in the canyon. I really admire their lame attempt to disguise it as some kind of Mars probe.

Just behind the orchard, the air-raid siren. Yeah, this is just another historical exhibit.

We escape back to Tlaquepaque for coffee and seasonal celebrations.
