As always, a roadtrip has to start with a visit to Tony's.

GPS confirms we have reached Dismal Nitch. It always looks like this. The National Park Service keeps it exactly the way Lewis and Clark left it. They've even preserved its innate blurriness. I'm not sure how.
Crossing the Columbia for the zillionth time.
This happens to us every now and then - the Matrix glitches, and we see stuff like this: the road just suddenly disappears into a fog bank, in this case, in the middle of a bridge. They must have something weird cooked up for us, but weren't able to get it into position fast enough, so they resorted to the good ol' fog glitch.
Then, the fog suddenly clears. Astoria appears. It doesn't look quite right. I'm not sure what.
Yeah. Astoria. They've cooked something up in the Matrix.
