Roadtrip 2019 Fall: Vancouver - Richland - Twin Falls - Provo - Kanab - Yucca Valley - Paso Robles - Sacramento - Brookings - Yachats - Cannon Beach - Vancouver

Day 53 - Foraging Newport

First stop, the bakery of record in Yachats.

The Clearwater restaurant's outside deck, with a view of the very suspicious NOAA "research" vessels moored across the way.

To some, it's calamari.  To others, it's bait.

Newport's Giant Sea Lion Trap appears to be working to spec.  Not one sea lion ever leaves.

If you're gonna take our picture – could you at least throw a couple fish our way?

Wow – the engineers around here are really accurate.

At Nye Beach they've gone all out with seasonal decorations.

Sand circles mysteriously appear overnight.  Once again, nobody likes to talk about it.

It's a new look at the concept of picket line.

We're very lucky to have dodged the raindrops pretty much all day – including a little beach running at Nye.

The entrance to our house – down a very skanky roadway – and through the Y's Acres signpost.  Yeah – it's supposed to be Shipwreck House – I have no explanation.

The evil eyes of the Shipwreck await our return.
