Day 3 - Bend

Bend is still sporting patchy snow here and there. Spring is late this year.

The forest creates her own gateway.

Alongside the Deschutes River – it's a boy with his odd sock dog.

Where lava meets the river. Very few signs of Spring here.

Back in town – we opt to warm up at Lone Pine Coffee – where the barista and the roast master are hard at it.

I love walking down a dark back alley to find the best coffee in this part of the world.

But, all good things must come to an end.  Lone Pine is moving more into the mainstreet – no more back alley for them as of Apr 27.  I will miss this mightily.
