Day 14 - Secret Beach

Cruzin' 101 in style - catching that sea air all the way.

Ella is showing off her brand-new Barbara McColl Memorial Long Line. Barb suggested this as a way to tame Ella's lack of recall - the long line provides enough drag that she can't get over the horizon on us easily. Barb passed this past New Year's Eve, and I've lost a life-long friend. She was my grade 9 English teacher, and I have been honoured to call her my friend ever since.

Another time-honoured tradition renewed: The Mystery Flotsam of the Day.

I may be species nondescript - but I think I'm a very cool character.

Wind, sand and water play their notion of abstraction card.

Secret Beach has many secrets.

Piper flight.

Sea fog and mist suddenly turn the beach scene toward the ethereal.

This house has been resisting the erosion for many years. Secret Beach hates stairs.

There is the big knowledge and the little knowledge. Here we have the big rocks and the little woods - in a touch of harmony!
