Kicking off today's festivities: a visit to the Indian Creek Campground, where you may notice the tiny sign proclaiming "Wagyu Beef". Yup, Full-Blood Wagyu, grown right here in Gold Beach. We've made friends with Karen, one of the ranchers at Pacific Rogue Wagyu. We hope to get a visit to the actual ranch next week for some photography. In the meantime, we've got a stash of the most wonderful beef in the world.
The Indian Creek Cafe parking lot - the designated spot for the wagyu exchange. Felt a bit more like an underground deal than a meat deal!!

The run-in to Otter Point features these crazy views up and down the coast. Very few people know about this place.
The run-in also requires this harrowing canyon descent.
After descending Harrowing Canyon, you arrive at the Official Dangers and Annoyances, which list many more ways for you to die.
So much to take in at Otter Point. Floral divesity - steep cliff drops - wave action - and even a cliffside waterfall generated when the biggest waves crash right over the rock feature.
Ellie is too short to make into this family portrait.

That's it? Where's the beach?
This do it yourself mobile home even appears to feature an in trailer fireplace feature.
This is what remains of the Mary D Hume. We first saw her decades ago - always a wreck by the side of the Rogue River in Gold Beach - but relatively quite in tact. Every time we visit there's less and less of her. They've even taken the commemorative plaque away - so there's no obvious tribute to her history any more.
Finally, one small black dog gets her beach. And some throws.
