Day 10 - Long range food raid to Phoenix

First - the day starts with coffee and lunch in our spectacular onsen like southwest garden.

A little tour of the garden - set in the red rocks.

Planned pathways lead one through.

All the little details.

Fabulous mix of plants, flowers, shrubs and trees.

Of course there's some good ol' prickly pear.

Purple pops against the rocks.

Waning prickly pear - but such rich colour.

More purple poppers - in such a subtle grey green field.

OK - the sign says paradise - so it must be!!

after a full exploration of Phoenix streets and traffic - we arrive at the amazing LeeLee. Yes - they still have fresh bamboo shoots!!

This van has spent too much time sitting on Sedona vortexes.

No messing around at Lee lees - all the shopping carts - all in a row. They actually have minders with electric powered pushers - to collect them all and return them to order.

They actually test everyone using the "Carefree Hwy" to make sure they are actually carefree. No point in taking a chance of contamination by Type A's.

It's a late return - but the food shopping extravaganza to Lee Lee and AJ's is a ripping success. Russ is now following his "bait fish" truck who is conveniently marking the way down the dark interstate.
