Day 45 - Jim's Trail

This is a different type of cactus - the nodules look like little cocktail pickles.

The mythical Translucent Prickly Pear makes an appearance. For now.

The nest of the local Giant Sand Crab. They will lay one or two eggs on that nest, whereupon their larvae will hatch, and make their way into the ears of their prey. No, I didn't get the idea from STII.

Wendy casts her Force Beam into Joshua Tree. The Force is now with them.

The views from this trail are wonderful - and it's almost in our own backyard.

Cholla grows right through the middle of this shrub - ouch.
