Day 15 - The Badlands: Ancient Junipers

I warmly greet you to the Badlands at the Juniper Trail Site.

The local Wildfire Laboratory is also working on tree=supported clouds. Only they can do the trick with live trees. Global warming is over.

This old juniper jealously guards its supply of lava rocks.

The incredibly rare and shy Bender Lemur makes an appearance just for me.

Lava as protector of all things tree.

Less than satisfied with stump sitting - Russ packs in his own private sit upon.

Clouds scuttle by.

A crazy tangle of above ground roots.

Ahhh - a new find. A very relaxing and expertly prepared Italian feast at Bosa. We couldn't get in at Ariana - but now they have serious competition for the next time we're in Bend.
