Day 20 - Devil's Canyon

So much for the quiet hike - or the max 12 person per group limit stated at the entrance. Actually - really no worries - there are so many trails in this system - we never saw them again.

The desert is blooming big time! Usually we see the desert through fall eyes - a real treat to see many blooms.

More of the bloomin'desert.

The main track into Devil's Canyon is actually an old road - probably used for mining Uranium, given the strength of the gully bridges.

There is are smatterings of these large trees along the route. If our reference to what we see around Sedona is correct - they may be cottonwoods - growing alongside flowing waters.

Hoodoos glower at us from across the canyon.

Close in details of red rock erosion patterns - looks a bit like an old pipe organ that's seen better days.

The Devils' in the canyon - we're just not sure exactly where.
