Roadtrip 2022 Spring: Seaside - Bend - Boise - Park City - Grand Junction - Park City - Boise - Richland

Day 38 - Grand Junction to Park City

This small friend welcomes us at our first pit stop in Utah.

In Utah they really make you work for your restroom break.

Behold the Wonder of Harley's Dome.

Everything along this section of I-70 is called "Book Cliffs".

This area was used for all that fake footage of so-called "Lunar Landings" from the 60's and 70's. If you look closely at the fake film, you'll see that fence.

Jackass Joe's Area Stupid. We agree.

This landing site was prepared in the late 60's, when it became obvious that First Contact may as well happen in Utah.

The weather service did warn there may be thunderstorms along our route today.

An old jewel in the town of Price.

Helper is brimming with incredible historic buildings.

Dang! I think I've found the all time lowest cost hotel room - but Russ says it's not current so it doesn't count. But what if it is current?

Everyone wants to make pics here - in every form possible.

Renewed topographics on the backside of Duchesne Utah.

Once again, we close Chimayo. They may well tire of us yet.

There are 3 Original Banksy's in Park City, all hidden in alleyways. Really. In fact, there were actually 5, but Park City "cleaned up" 2 of them, citing graffiti laws before they were stopped. We could only find 2. This one is the only one that didn't need restoration, as a forward thinking gallerist took the door down and hid it.

Look closely, there's a tiny fly just off this poor little guy's snout.

The bright orange balls that define the Chimayo entry.

The 2nd Banksy we could find. This one is under glass, which itself has been vandalized. Crazy.
