Day 42 - The Snake River, Northeast of Richland

Every varoom a boom you can possibly imagine at the Juniper dunes OHV area.

Yup - this is still the Palouse - just further south than her more famous cousin.

Up in Kahlotus, the usual problems.

These mysterious signs were found at the Columbia Landing Site (see a picture from couple of days ago). It is thought they are the instructions to build a time machine.

And even more farms.

The Fins at the Edge of Palouse Falls.

There is no safe way down to the river from here.

Incredible scenery - had no idea this was here.

Following the Palouse, the Columbia's windfarms stand in the distance.

Wendy's family, the Fletchers, pioneered and are still on the land not too far from here in Republic.

Late day showers follow us.

All of the townsfolk of Ayer vanished one day in 2016. Given its proximity to the Landing Site, it is believed they were either abducted by aliens, or they succeeded in building the time machine.

Meanwhile, the wind ripples the tall grass.

All that glitters is not gold - it may just be grass.

It really did look like this grass had a life of it's own!

Dire warning to not approach this one - there is evidence of a fire. Not even the birds want to land.

Farms - stretching out so far and wide - yup the countryside is spectacular.

Once again the storms surround us.

Another restaurant to keep on our list. This one is "Fiction" at the Bookwalter winery.
