Day 23 - Broken Arrow -> Hog Wash

Ella stamps off , while Wendy does what Wendy does.

It's still hazy today, but less so than yesterday. The views are always crazy.

Hog Wash features lots of ledge hiking and nasty scrambles.

This red rock semi lizardo creature has the head of a Chinese lion dance costume. No one knows how these two things were crossed - but it sure took some tricky genetic manipulation.

Meantime - I'm just your standard canyon beetle bug.

Our turnaround point - here, the trail bends back towards town and civilization.

It appears that Prickey Mickey has escaped from the top-secret Walt Disney Universe proving ground, not far to the west. We first sighted an earlier prototype of Prickey Mickey a few years back, and the Black Helicopters shooed us away. Now that Prickey Mickey is in the wild, it's not clear what Disney will do to protect their intellectual property. They may try to buy Sedona.

There has been little sign of vortex rock-building this year, as well. This is the first example of the trip. There is a powerful vortex in Hog Wash.

Ella is tracking somethin'.

Survivors of a pink jeep excursion are happy to be photographed. Little do they know what awaits them back at the garage.

Our second visit to Elote this trip. The gang's all here - Juan, Adrian and Armando are taking amazing care of us.
