Patio Azul is back to normal after Dia. Lunch at Rene is always worth it.
The Team heads onto today's trail. Old Post is an old road.
Ramshead is a little more rough and tumble. There is no escaping views of Cathedral Rock.
We head down into Carroll Canyon. Can you spot the Russ? Resplendent in red - once again.
In the tree is the local BlueJay, which does not have a hat. No-one knows why they lost their hats, but we think it's likely a result of genetic manipulation. Where are the Black Helicopters?
Hah!! We find an area littered with fossilized Bigfoot footprints!! Proof that Bigfoot was in these parts perhaps millions of years ago. Combine this fact with the Space-Time Portal plans we found a few days ago, and there is only one possible conclusion: Bigfoot simply left our planet (they called this place "Dirt") for a nicer, greener place when they saw what we were doing to it.
The original Big Idea was to follow Old Post to Ramshead to Carroll Canyon, and then follow the wash back to the road, about 1km away. We have done this route before, but the recent floods have left this crazy jumble of rocks in the wash. So we bail, and we'll take the long route of Ramshead out of the canyon.
Out on Ramshead, there still is no escaping views of Cathedral Rock.
This plant has had a pretty rough go - but it's mix of live and dead branches creates a flowing pattern.
Roadside plant with brilliant yellow berries. There was a huge patch of them. Must not be tasty - as even all the critters seem to be leaving them alone.
