Day 45 - Yavapai -> Hiline

The continuing exploration of our Sedona house features.

Light fills the entire front half of the house through 2 full stories of south facing windows. Adobe style beams cast shadows.

We almost always use dinin rooms as office space! Best spot to deploy the computers. The massive stone fireplace is reflected in the mirror.

More light and shadow play.

The huge open vault as viewed from the master suite on the second floor. That's Cathedral Rock in the distance.

Back outside - more small things to discover on the adobe walls.

Steps to the premier patio perch.

Back out on the red rocks - we discover that indeed it was the dinosaurs that invented the idea of logos.

And we hit the trail. First, up to the Yavapai Vista.

The Team surmounts the nearly unclimbable Hillary Step.

Hiline is on those ledges up there. Double diamond.

Down in the approach gully, there is nothing but trees.

..... and some very prickly pears.

Of course Hi Line has a guardian.

Russ conquers the red rock staircase and continues on up to the prime view area.

Part of the approach is directly in the arroyo. A tiny trail marker up ahead confirms this.

Prickey Mickey has again established dominance in this canyon.

Climb up and up, and here's the view of the big monuments.

Life on the Ledge. It is a little scary.

The Team at the summit.

The Black Helicopters have been watching all day. We've been too busy not falling off a cliff to find the things they are hiding.
