Day 48 - Sedona to Joshua Tree

The partridge Family bus has now changed hands many times. Yes, that is a heat exchanger on the roof. One must take advantage of the modern conveniences.

No kidding.

Yup - it's back to road trip mode today. As usual the interstates offer every traveller's essentials.

Looks like a Fun Zone Prison.

Wheels are also in short supply.

The Top-Secret Iron Dome Missile Defence of Harcouver. Really. And that's their Death Star in the background. They couldn't afford a full-size one, so they built this.

Neat and tidy digs in Parker AZ.

Wildfire Labs have convinced the state of Arizona that their next door Cali neighbours are indeed not so innocent and carefree. Particularly they are plotting to extend their extreme fuel pricing and taxation regime far beyond their borders. We spot this massive submersible just waiting to be sunk into the depths of the Colorado River immediately ahead of this location. Once concealed the submersible will quietly launch drones and very capable listening devices to ensure constant monitoring of the nepharious Californians. Of course - unbenounced to the Arizonians - Wildfire always has their own agenda too. Of course they do.

The rail bridge over the Colorado at parker is far more interesting than the vehicle bridge.

Yeah - it's Rice.

Like a lopsided swarm of bees - the shoe collection continues to manifest.

And again, we find ourselves in Rice. Where the ebb and flow of shoes on this old gas station seems to have exploded.

Pretty much anything you need in footwear is in here somewhere.

Highway 62 is routinely one of the loneliest roads we drive.

Soon - we're back into the land of the JackRabbits.

Things are always eclectic out here.

Yup - eclectic and eccentric. Not even Wildfire can make this one fly.
