Day 54 - Joshua Tree NP: Hidden Valley

Even the Joshua Trees howl when they're bored.

Raven in the rocks.

The picnic area of Hidden Valley is much less popular with the climbing community for some reason.

A crack waterfall.

Split rock, split tree.

A secret canyon inside the picnic area. This park is incredible for all the little surprises just around the corner.

The red blooms on this plant are nearing their end - but still are striking against the grey rocks.

All these branches stem from that one trunk to the right.

More rock less garden here.

Another one of those little surprises when you look closely into the corners. How did these layers form?

Wrong season - but it's still pretty cool.
