Central Oregon has had devastating wildfires in the past few years.

The World-Famous Whole in the Wall, Mitchell, Oregon.

We once spent a week on a ranch about 30 minutes from here (Mitchell). This was our nearest grocery store.

The John Day River comes close to level with the highway in this canyon section.

We've pulled into one of those customary roadside stops with the usual type of toilet hut. But wait - what's that roof structure so close to the ground just off the snout of the truck?

Someone has definitely been having some fun here.

This couldn't have been cheap fun either. It's all solidly built.
