Roadtrip 2024 Fall: Walla Walla - Eagle - Park City - Apple Valley - Sedona - St. George - Barstow - Paso Robles - St. Helena - Brookings - Newport - Seaside

Day 2 - Walla Walla Lay Day - Lake Bennington

Right next to our truck, this beautiful Jag E. There was a Jag convention at our hotel - I counted 10.

Off to Patisserie Colville for coffee. We'll be back.

Onto Bennington Lake and it's many miles of trails.

When there are far too many instructions to comprehend - howl.

According to the Government signs, Bennington Lake is being drained to "enhance fish habitat". It appears that WildFire Lab has succeeded in their experiment to produce waterless fish. These waterless fish will revolutionize fishing in hard-hit drought areas.

The now mud cracked - plant strewen bottom of the old Bennington Lake. Waterless fish will crave the cool mud between the cracks - and devour the surface based plant matter.

Ella finds a giant water pump. These will no longer be necessary with the advent of waterless fish.

With the receding waters of the lake, these prehistoric footprints emerge. We believe them to be the footprints of Homo Sporadicus, a race of early hominids that roamed prehistoric Washington over 2 million years ago. They are credited with the invention of electronic sports betting.

They're working very hard - but Bennington Lake is not quite drained yet. Locals have renamed this version - Bennington Pond.

Fall colour abounds - accented by warm early afternoon light.

Bushwhacking 101. Never pass under a leaf gate.

Russ sports his yellow shirt - to practise "becoming one" with the forest.

The Renewed Topographics, Bennington Lake 2024.

Surrealism rears itself in the natural environment.

We dare you to touch us.

A peaceful place to linger.

We Are Small meets Bernd and Hilla.

The International Standards Organization's Official Benchmark for "90". If you ever need a definitive specification for "90", you will find it here. And nowhere else. This is it.
