Day 13 - Mystic Trail

After a day of settling in and accomplishing a few errands, we take advantage of some very late afternoon light and head out to the Mystic Trail - literally a 3 minute drive from our house. The light show is already unfolding to be a spectacular one.

The Team steams off into the Mystic lands looking for a sunset.

A last touch of light illuminates a distant cliff. That is haze from forest fire smoke in the air.

I lean on you.

As the sun sets.

Red rocks glow.

These trunks are surrounded by many varieties of desert foliage.

Cathedral reveals it's true form in the glow.

Yow. First day.

It gets bigger and bigger.

....... then darker and darker.

Meanwhile, the Black Helicopters keep watch overhead. Guys!! Sometimes a sunset is just a sunset!
