Day 33 - Sombart -> Marg's Draw (north)

Vortex offerings on the trail.

Into the wilderness - we are on the opposite side of the ridge we were on yesterday.

Very open country. We might get spotted.

Arrrgh!! A fleet of Jolly Black Giant Helicopters appears. They are serious today. We scatter.

This is super serious - what the heck have we stumbled upon - or are they still on the rampage after yesterday's close encounter?

The Jolly Blacks circle back, camera jammers on full. They really mean to keep us out of this area.

Some distance away, we watch the Jolly Blacks harass a bunch of unwitting mountain bikers.

Up there? What might they be hiding up there?

That looks to me like Mothra's Egg. We think they put it up on that spire to keep Mothra from tearing up the Wildfire Lab looking for it. Mothra is clearly on the way.

We find these fossilized remains of Wormitron, mysterious mechanized worms that roamed these parts millions of years ago.

A partial vortex makes a warning rumbling swish.

Blarrgh!! The Black Osprey is back, to mop up. We scatter again.

We circle back across the open space. The Black Osprey seems more interested in some mountain bikers in the distance.

We have found it: a giant Wildfire Lab installation being built. They have shaved the entire top of that mountain off, and are tunnelling deep into it. We need to get these pictures out.
