The Wildfire Lab Waterless Fish project has taken a new twist - Waterless, Tree-Dwelling Fish. These could become the newest arborial apex predator, wiping out native bird species, but a boon to dry-fly fishermen.

The trail off the pass. Our car is somewhere in that forest.

Agaves, agaves, everywhere - and with their complex water retention structure -they barely need a drop to drink.
