Roadtrip 2024 Spring: Seaside - Yachats - Tumalo - Walla Walla

Day 10 - Cape Perpetua - Cook's Chasm

It seems we have a resident squirrel - who for some reason likes to hang out in an empty plant pot. Silly squirrel. Maybe he likes the view.

Things are bloomin' at Cape Perpetua.

Thor's Toilet gurgles ominously to itself.

Tourists continue to defy the waves on the ledge.

Flowers are bloomin', sea is boomin' !!

High Tide! The sea crashes in.

The sentient foam oozes in and burbles quietly to itself. It is planning.

Wendy and Ella challenge the sentient sea foam.

The way out of Seafoam Valley.

Russ waves a hiking pole that doubles as a light sabre. An action certain to keep the foam from climbing further up the cliffs.

At low tide, that cove is a beach.

Confusion Corner. Every day, tourists are routinely rescued from this spot due to indecision.

I can't believe they brought me to the Perpetual Vortex Hill again. All I can do is try to beg a hasty retreat.
