Day 13 - Florence in the rain - what else?

They pull a pretty good coffee, but all their roasts are medium to dark, and no single origins. That's Florence's art deco bridge in the background.

The Holman Vista is a very short walk from the parking lot, offering views of dune country. There is no way down to the beach from here, though.

The boardwalk and surrounds give evidence of the very crazy weather around here.

That giant trunk across the river likely isn't going anywhwere anytime soon.

This tree was used by the US Navy as a wind-tunnel test subject for over 40 years. It has now been retired to this site to live out its days in peace.

These trees are just quietly biding their time in a nearby grove. They have never been exposed to Navy experiments - just living their peaceful lives with a few Oregon storms mixed in.

The broom is certainly a' bloomin'.

Day is definitely done - gone the sun.
