Day 16 - In Loving Memory of Ella Odd Sock 2018-2025

Today, we sadly said goodbye to our beloved little friend, Ella Odd Sock. She was diagnosed with a terminal illness last February, but she really didn't show any signs of sickness until late summer. During the fall, she declined fairly rapidly, and today, her brave body just gave out. She peacefully passed in our arms outdoors with the best of care at a lovely vet clinic, surrounded by her favourite red rocks. We will never forget her love of life and forever good spirits. She was a stirring example for us all. Ellie Ellie Odd Sock Free!

Ella was at her best hiking the red rocks.

Beautiful ethereal light shines across the grasses.

The guardian of souls.

Moe and Joe pose for a portrait.

The late afternoon sun rakes through the low bush of the forest. Sun's rays provide a brilliance that show the subtle textiure and colours.

You have reached for the sky Ella Odd Sock - and soon for the stars. You will always shine bright for Russ and I. Forever your soul will reside in the magical Sedona air and the red rocks you loved so much. I miss you deeply - you were a spirit full of joy. Your soul will also be with us - wherever we go. I bet you've already had quite a few rounds of throws with Auntie Iris. You had quite the bond you two. Love you always.

So long, little friend. You will forever be my tiniest, spiniest and briniest. We always said you had big socks to fill - your big sisters are proud of you.

Now it's Floe's turn to pose.

A wee cactus blooms bright.
