Day 36 - Cottonwood - Jerome

Well, after decades, we tried some Arizona wine. Let's just say that Napa and Willamette and Columbia and Paso Robles and Santa Barbara have little to worry about.

Camera jammers on, the Black Helicopters have been shadowing us all day. Guys!! Sometimes a lunch is just a lunch.

In Jerome, the world-famous Public Toilet. No takers right now, but there will be.

There are many watering holes.

Better not ask. Where are the Black Helicopters?

No more questions from us. The Black Helicopters have been all over today.

Some skeletons still sport a little life.

No getting wicked today.

Is there a tale about the skeleton and the angel?????

Even plastic skeletalized birds are capable of giving you that sideways stare.

The Jerome Grand Hotel, the original inspiration for the Overlook Hotel from that 1980 documentary "The Shining" - we mentioned this film earlier in this august journal. There is a photograph inside of Jack Torrance in the ballroom from about 1920. Really.

This happens frequently in areas dat gots dat shine. Rubber duckies magically appear on your dashboard. These folks don't seem so worried, but they should be. And never, ever feed the duckies after midnight.

If you're not afraid yet - you could always try their Asylum Restaurant.

The Pierce Arrow dreams of hitting those red rock hills once again.

Meanwhile, this good old beautiful bug is still extra spry - and tackles the Jerome hills daily.

The mysterious levitating bed from The Grand Hotel, now moved safely outside because it was freaking out the guests. The hotel originally thought they could charge a premium for this bed as the Best Night's Sleep You Ever Had.

Not sure what's showing - but the seats don't look all that comfy.

A creepy theatre entrance.

Of course the levitating bed MUST have a guardian.
