Day 39 - Slide Rock

We have a smoke event in Sedona today.

The Ole Orchard at Slide Rock. It is now an Experimental Orchard. At least, that is what Wildfire Lab wants us to believe.

More of the Experimental Orchard.

Fresh brewed hot chocolate is an interesting twist.

We have never been into this area of Slide Rock because dogs are not allowed.

It's a gorgeous corner of the park.

Leaves are in full fall form now.

Roots are so crazy versatile.

This tree is in it's peak vibrant state.

The slidey part of slide rock.

Mom and Dad are on the upper ledge, while their two young sons are exposed to the influence of the Giant Monolith. Once again, the faint strains of Also Sprach Zarathustra are playing.

The World-Famous Stairs to Nowhere. We know better. Those stairs are the original access to Wildfire Lab in Slide Rock, founded in 1920.

The tympanies reach their crashing crescendo, as yet another sentient species awakes. Behold the birth of Homo Kentucksis!! Wait!! Can I hear the faint sound of banjo music?

Meanwhile the Euro tourists are making deathless video to influence lots of others back home.

Homo Kentucksis is able to modulate the vortexes in the area. The Big Stick floats by. Homo K doesn't seem to have a lot of control. Yet.

Uh-Oh! Looks like Homo K has got the hang of things.

The Euro tourists have been transformed into this silly-string kind of stuff.

Attempting to influence the vortexes has led to a rift in the space time contnuum. Too much unstructured practice turns out to be not such a good thing.

Meanwhile, up at the Slides, it's like nothing is going on at all.

Daytime stars make an appearance.

Dad has come down to Homo K, and is telling him it's not nice to turn Euro tourists into silly string. Maybe this approach will work. Where are the Black Helicopters?

At the top of the rocks - these folks have opted to skip the slide. Just too much phenomenon going on right now. Could be risky.
