The toll gate looks meager in relation to it's surrounds - but oh - so much power.

Russ proudly shows off his personally crafted red rock sit upon.

We started this trail under a layer of high cloud. Then the sun broke through with the usual sedona blue skies. Next - and suddenly - blue gives way to dark and ominous.

..... even more ominous .....

The prickly pear are concerned .....

.... trees develop massive hive like blisters in a fear response to the upcomimg angry cloud threat.
