Roadtrip 2025 Fall: Yakima - Bend - Reno - Mammoth Lakes - Hurricane - Sedona - Yucca Valley - Paso Robles - St. Helena - Brookings - Newport - Seaside

Day 47 - Huckaby

Our last full day of adventuring in Sedona this year. We start with Freeform Coffee at the bottom of Schnebly Hill.

The Pinks are hunting across the Huckaby Gorge. They can't get to us, though, so we mock them by faking shrieks of thirty and hungry tourists. Drives them crazy.

We have never seen water in Huckaby gorge.

They're back!! We've already documented the funny goings on at the butte near Baldwin - too late to get us for that.

On a side trail, we never noticed that fine view of Snoopy Rock, just to the right of the big rock.

Stamping into Huckaby Gorge.

Further documentation of strange goings on. The Huckaby landscape has also been affected by the recent thrashing of weather systems courtesy of Wildfire. The vortexes are becoming angry.

Sentient moss - resplendent in vibrant green from the recent wet weather - is under the watchful eye of the lichen covered star shaped cookie monster.

Down in the bottom of the gorge, running water! This must be what the Black Helicopters don't want us to see. But why?

Water - lots of water.

Water presence adds to the up close shapes, colours and textures in the canyon.

A moment of peace.
