Our last short hike starts. Weather looms in the distance.

We have spotted the usual wedding parties heading into the rocks. Better kiss the bride and get out of Dodge!

A grand knarly Yavapai native.

Just about dead centre, that white speck is on Hiline trail, where we were some days ago. Don't want to be caught out on that trail when the weather hits.

The Yavapai mini tanks are actually full of water.

The clouds keep on building.

There is lightning in the distance. The race to the parking lot begins.

High temps were not a threat today - but they certainly can be. Today we race for the truck to avoid the current incoming threat. The Yavapai trails are less than 10 minutes from our digs. By the time we got there - the thunder and lightning show was already well under way.
