I just learned that Noah Purifoy started his Found Objects practice with debris from the 1965 Watts Riots in LA. He subsequently co-founded the Watts Towers Art Center.

This installlation has been rebuilt a few times. This rebuild is much more faithful to the original than the last time we saw it.
