The very foggy traverse over the hill from Napa to Sonoma.

These Ancient Stone Circles are thought to have been built by the Sentient Bunnies. Their purpose is still unclear. The bunnies aren't talking.

Lots of ways to get into these rabbitt holes.

The Eye watches. And waits.

Meanwhile the Orange Fungus awaits its turn at sentience. No tympanies. Yet.

That, fellow diners, is a Chanterelle Mushroom. This area is completely covered with the things. But, we are in a State Park. Sigh.

The Mossy Tree has a Mossy Break.

All trees bend in this forest.

Still waiting patiently. No tympanies yet.

This one was a bit too bent - and finally has succumbed to the pressure. Makes a nice arch though ....

More forest fungus.

The forest crackles as we near the Wolf House ruin.

Russ is unaware of the cracklin' and forges onwards in the forest of the bent trees.

The House That Jack Built.

It reads more like a long-lost Temple of Doom than a nice house in the country.

The formal kitchen.

The front entrance.

The Londons never got to live here.

After the painstaking design and build - with all the custom furniture ready to go - the Wolf House burned to the ground before the family could move in. Only tht massive stone walls remained - and stand - with some supports - to this day.

Jack London's gravesite near the Wolf House ruin. His wife Charmian and sister's ashes are also scattered here.

Gravesite near Jack's - where small children of the prior landowners rest.

Jack's Eucalypt Forest - a commercial bust, but nice to look at.

Fog over Beauty Ranch vineyards.
