Roadtrip 2025 Spring: Richland - Bend - Waldport - Pacific City - Seaside

Day 19 - Cape Perpetua Overlook

Slabs of water head to shore.

It's a super windy day - but the coast is clear for a long distance view.

The crazy trail down to the Devil's Churn. Maybe tomorrow.

View to sea from a trailside shelter.

The Fort. The Final Defense.

A lone gull soars over the waves.

Fungus 'n Ferns.

Heffalumps lurk in the Perpetua forest.

This very patient raven just sat while I took this photo! Even though I had Ella Odd Sock in tow!

A raven, a Shetland Sheepdog and a redhead with a camera walk into a bar...

The latest NIH experimental Chemkloud. A natural upgrade from Chemtrails, the Chemkloud is designed to deliver them mind-control agents faster, cheaper and more accurately. Time to head back to Waldport and see how the local population is behaving. Last week, everyone was hoarding bleach. Now what?

From the top of Perpetua - we descend to sea level at Yachats.

In Yachats, all seems well. No visible change in the behaviour of the locals. Yet.

Are sea thrifts really thrifty?

The Other Other Bench at the End of the Universe.

The tips of these plants are so red in a sea of green. As it turns out - they are also tangled in a mass of branches from last year's growth. But thrive they do!

We just call them hoopooburras. That's what they sound like.

Yes, once again the fleet has found us.
