Rain squalls all day today. We brave the elements at Heceta Beach. The light keeper's house will watch over us.

The view from inside a sea cave, where it is amazingly dry.

Another sea cave allows the camera to come out for an environmental portrait.

Another cool view out from a protected vantage point. These caves are incredible. We've been to Heceta for the lighthouse so many times - but have never been down on the beach and "around the corner" before. It does take exact timing for low tide - otherwise all of this is inaccessible. We need to return on a better day - at low tide!

A small memorial that's seen a bit of weathering - inside one of the caves.

Another memorial - just outside a cave.
