Bird on a Stick. A photographic genre made famous by photography clubs the world over.

A winter's wear.

The Team approaches Hairpin Bend on the path down to The Devil's Churn.

Another "green moment" at the top of the Devil's.

Halfway down the path to The Devil's Churn, we are informed of a landslide. The path is closed. We move on to hike The Lookout. From high above, we are able to appreciate the scale of the landslide, visible as two scars on the path, just beyond the first switchback from the bottom.

Closeup from the frame above: centre left - a small slide blocks the path. We were considering a scramble over that. What we couldn't see was the much larger slide centre right, which has undermined the whole trail and part of the railing has fallen off. That spot is truly dangerous.

From up top we can spot Thor's. It gurgles heartily today.

The Lookout. Still here, despite much of the forest around it getting blown down over the winter.

The Greenness of Amanda's Trail.

The forest floor is vibrant and lush with green growing things. The large trees on the other hand have taken yet another bashing from a season of strong Pacific storms. Yet more have fallen. They are rapidly thinning.

A very large tree has recently fallen. Russ pushes through the gap cut by the avid trail maintenance teams of the coast. Thank goodness for those folks!

Mushroom mania. Variety uknown to us. We'll leave foraging to those who do.
