Emigrant Lake - it all looks very peaceful but this couple kilometers of lakeside includes a dam, boat launch, picnic site, rowing club, camping, waterslides, swimming pier, and a laundry list of rules and regs. An extreme example of "land of many uses". May not want to be anywhere near here in mid summer!
Over the ridge and across the dale, thar be vineyards. And more vineyards.
