A 24 hour exposure, with shutter open and close exactly at solar azimuth max, camera pointed exactly south, delivers this diamond ring over Tucson, Arizona. The flare happens on shutter open, never on shutter close - I'm not sure why. I think the pale streak at the top left is an airplane.
