That's the Pacific Ocean, over the stabilized dune on the big sandbar just outside Waldport, Oregon. There are four deck chairs in this picture - the two on the left stayed put all day, while the two in the center came and went. The ghost of the Wisner view camera, also making an all-day photograph, is visible in the center pane on the horizon line.
