It is clear that this land, once owned by the Federal Government, and presently owned by the Province of BC, will not remain publicly held for much longer. The Provincial Government plans to use proceeds from the sale of the Little Mountain land to develop new social housing in Vancouver and throughout the province. What is unclear, is why the existing housing had to be demolished so quickly, with no plans in place for re-development of the land.
