Day 31 - Portuguese Beach, Dillon Beach

We arrive at Portuguese Beach as today's storm brews in the distance.

The storm surge is already here, kicking up big surf.

Everyone's staying on the beach high ground to stay clear of the unpredictable waves.

Wooohoo!! What storm?

"I'm trying to beat the sheltic land speed record - are all four feet off the ground at the same time?"

Even the pelicans are beating a retreat to the Bay.

When all else fails, head to Italian Dinners.

Cows never seem to care what's going on.

Rare rocky outcrops emerge from otherwise rolling grassy farmlands near Dillon Beach. We suspect they have been painstakingly built over the centuries by local dairy cows as emergency watering stations.

The storms have definitely arrived - but clearly are not detering these die hards from their time on the beach.
