Refuel.
Just a small example of some of the stuff they've hauled out of the Crescent City Harbour after a Tsunami wave slammed their boat basin post the March 2011 Japan earthquake. Crescent City was the only West Coast N.A. area to experience any quake fallout.
Rebuilding the Crescent City boat basin - this harbour used to be full of piers and boats.
Some of the piers that were destroyed by the Tsunami. Damage was confined to the boat basin, and all the little businesses and accomodations on shore appear to have been spared. It's 7 months post event and they're still not close to restoring one boat basin. Can't imagine what the areas devastated in Japan have to deal with.
Pretty simple - just sand and water.
Then there's sand and rock and water.
The ocean spills through a gap in the rocks.
Catch a wave.
Back in Oregon - coast of the incredible sunsets.
