Wendy, Emma and I were in Victor Idaho, enjoying our 2008 road trip, when a mysterious email arrived - and a long-lost friend from my mostly misspent youth, Stacy Bjornson was found. It had been nearly 30 years since I'd seen Stacy, and she immediately re-united me with her mother, Barbara McColl, a beloved high school drama teacher from that same misspent youth. Barb now lives in the nearby, but ferry trip away, community of Gibson's Landing.

Hanging out with Barb is truly one of life's rare pleasures. This picture was made in Barb's backyard. She really doesn't like the daisy patch at the bottom of her garden. I hope this might change her mind.

4x5 inch large format negative, Drãnoflex pinhole camera, 6 hour exposure.
