We had to actually stay in Yachats, after many years of driving through Yachats on the Oregon Coast, to learn it is properly pronounced ya-HATS. We stayed in a beautiful vacation rental house about 5 minutes north, right on the beach. One evening, at afternoon coffee, the sky melded into the sea in such a way as to make the horizon invisible. The sea and sky change minute to minute in this part of the world - it's hard to get enough of it.
