If I just stare at it long enough - perhaps it will come to me.
The winds are so crazy strong today that mini dunes are forming all over the beach. Not a barrier for a good 'ol game of beach ball.
You never know what you may find at the beach.
The wild winds are also creating the most unusual forms and patterns.
Even man made detritis gets into the game.
Really big bits too.
Oregon's newest and bestest Super-Min jail. Bad Guys sentenced to Super-Min terms are sent here, with just a lunch basket and some sunscreen to serve out their time in the sunshine, with no parole, and no breaks until teatime. Eat your heart out, Alcatraz. That's one of the inmates over there in the exercise yard. Looks disconsolate, huh?
What the hell is Super-Min? Play ball!!
OK, our house for the week is on the hill. There are two grey houses on the left of this picture. Just to the right of them, and a little higher on the hill is a blue-green house with lots of decks. That's us!
There must be some code-of-the-sea violation in the choice of colour scheme for that boat.
Theys ain't rocks. Theys is sea lions. Hunnerds of dem.
Fiesty critters they are. Bark - sleep - eat - pretty much the daily cycle. It's about the same as a dog - but the bark is about 20X louder and they carry on 24 hours a day.
Other times they just look like big plump sausages.
or one week - you choose
This poor merchant doesn't get out much. I'll refer you (and him) to the rules and regulations we found on day 2.
Amazingly, multiple levels of government spent many days and nights drafting this little bit of stupid regulation. It's incredible to think that the same people adapting alien technology to making french-fries (see day 1), can also be capable of this.
